Alexander Steen Is Back

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Just in time for a battle with the red-hot Anaheim Ducks, the St. Louis Blues will have a top-scorer returning from injury.

General Manager Doug Armstrong announced Friday that forward Alexander Steen has been cleared to return for Saturday night’s contest.

Steen has missed 11 games with a concussion.

The 29-year-old posted a career-high tying 24 goals and 38 points overall in 35 appearances this season, before landing on injued reserve.

The 6’0, 212-pound forward still shares 5th league-wide in goals, while his six game-winning goals are tied for third most.

The Winnipeg, Manitoba native and Swedish international was recently named to Team Sweden for the 2014 Olympics, along with teammate Patrik Berglund.
