PONTOON BEACH, Ill. (KMOX) – The Madison County Coroner’s office says foul play is not suspected in the death of a woman found dead in Mallard Lake.
An autopsy revealed 53-year-old Pamela Butkovich of Pontoon Beach died Friday of hypothermia and exposure.
Toxicology test results are pending.
Butkovich’s husband had filed a missing persons report with Pontoon Beach Police and told them he found a note from his wife threatening to harm herself.

PONTOON BEACH, IL (KMOX) – An autopsy is scheduled today on the cause of death of a Pontoon Beach woman whose body was found Friday morning in a Madison County lake.
The body of 53-year-old Pamela Butkovich was found in Mallard Lake off State Highway 162.
Her husband, Gary Butkovich had filed a missing persons report saying his wife had left a note in their home indicating she might harm herself.
