We’re in the middle of the movie award season leading up to the Oscars on March 2, and the motion picture “American Hustle” seems to have the inside track for best picture at Hollywood’s biggest award show. The Oscars will be broadcast worldwide to 225 countries.
The strongest competitor seems to be “12 Years a Slave.” Other motion pictures in contention include “Dallas Buyer’s Club,” “August: Osage County” and “Lee Daniels The Butler.”
If there’s a sure thing in this year’s Oscar awards, it seem to be Cate Blanchett for best actress in Woody Allen’s “Blue Jasmine.”
Matthew McConaughey looks to be the one to beat in the best actor category for his work in “Dallas Buyer’s Club.”
Jared Leto is the favorite to win best supporting actor for “Dallas Buyer’s Club.”
Kenyan actress Lupita Nyong’o looks like the odds on favorite to win best supporting actress Oscar for her powerful work in “12 Years a Slave.” It was her first professional acting job. For more information on the Oscars and the Screen Actors Guild Awards, click on one of the links below.
