ST. LOUIS (AP) – Fontbonne University in St. Louis has named J. Michael Pressimone as the university’s new president.
Fontbonne made the announcement on Monday. Pressimone will succeed Dennis Golden beginning July 1.
Pressimone has been vice president of advancement at Alvernia University in Reading, Pa. He has a doctorate from Benedictine University.
The university conducted a year-long search to replace Golden, who is retiring after 47 years in high education. Golden has been president of Fontbonne since 1995.
