Woman Injured in Flash-Fire

PACIFIC, Mo. (KMOX) – A woman is being treated for burns after a flash-fire at a Pacific foam plant.

The woman was working in a containment room in the Clayton Corporation plant on Integram off I-44 around 9 p.m. Battalion Chief Scott Friedmann tells KMOX what happened.

“They do some sort of testing with expanding foam in the laboratory area and they did have a flash fire in the laboratory area,” says Friedmann.

He says a sprinkler quickly extinguished the flames. The woman suffered burns to her face and arms, but they do not appear to be life threatening.

No one else was hurt.
