Bellflower Man Arrested For Warren County Mass Stabbing

BELLFLOWER, Mo. (KMOX) – A Warren County man admits to police he went on a stabbing rampage, Friday night, killing two women, while critically-injuring his estranged wife and and an 8-year-old boy.

Sheriff Kevin Harrison says 23-year-old Shawn Kavanagh of Bellflower is charged with two counts of first-degree murder, four counts of armed criminal action, several counts of assault, and first-degree burglary.

He’s being held in the Warren County Jail without bail.

The murder victim’s names have not been released, but they are identified as a 22-year-old Montgomery City woman and a 29-year-old Jonesburg woman.

Sheriff Harrison tells KMOX that Kavanagh’s 27-year-old wife is on a ventilator and the injured child is on life-support.

An 18-month-old girl was found inside the house unharmed.

Investigators say the stabbings followed a domestic dispute.
