“The Lego Movie” is out-performing all expectations for the second weekend in a row, scoring $63.5 million over the long 4-day President’s Day weekend. It was the largest gross of any previous film over a President’s Day holiday weekend. It gives “The Lego Movie” a grand total of $143.9 million in just two weeks of release.
The dating and relationship film starring Kevin Hart, “About Last Night,” opened number two with a respectable $28.5 million.
The comic book sc-fi film, “Robocop,” a remake of the original from 1987, opened third with a somewhat disappointing total of $25.6 million.
“The Monuments Men” took in $18 million and continued to under-perform. In fifth place was newcomer “Endless Love” with $15.1 million. Some have nicknamed the film “Endless Movie.” For more details on the weekend box office results, click on the link below.
Expected to top the box office next weekend is the latest Kevin Costner film, “3 Days To Kill.”
