Metro-East Bike Riding Bank Robber Charged

O’FALLON, Ill. (KMOX) – The man who allegedly robbed the Scott Credit Union in O’Fallon, Illinois on Wednesday and tried to get away on a bicycle, was charged today.

William Restoff, 54, was charged with one count of aggravated robbery, a class-one felony.

Police say he entered the Credit Union on Highway-50, passed a note to a teller and inferred he had a weapon.

Restoff is being held in the St. Clair County Jail on $250,000 bond.
