KMOX was on hand when St. Louis Cardinals General Manager John Mozeliak addressed the media Saturday morning in Jupiter, Florida.

Mozeliak said pitcher Jaime Garcia is leaving spring training and being sent back to St. Louis to have his shoulder examined.

According to Mozeliak Garcia was experiencing shoulder discomfort so he is flying back to St. Louis for an MRI and examination. He is unlikely to start the season in the pitching rotation.

Cardinals Skipper Mike Matheny also spoke with the media on Saturday, telling them the club will continue to take a wait-and-see approach regarding Garcia.
