ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Parents in the Normandy School District are disappointed yet again with the plan from the state education department on fixing their failing district.
Tuesday night at the University of Missouri campus, DESE laid out its skeleton plan for who would run the district at the end of the year, but didn’t address the transfer issue, or what the school will do when it runs out of money on April 1st.
The biggest critique from parents was that the presentation wasn’t specific enough.
Some points of the plan were as vague as “use evidence based practices” to improve student learning.
This plan will be implemented for all failing districts, not just Normandy.
