ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – It was a celebration in the Shaw neighborhood of Saint Louis as hundreds turned out Sunday – despite the winter storm – to learn more about the plan to build a new middle school on the Saint Margaret of Scotland parish school campus.
Father Matthew O’Toole said it’s a $2 million project.
“It is ambitious but I believe it also injects into our community a great deal of confidence and excitement,” says O’Toole.
He says more than $825,000 have been pledged so far.
Officials say the new building is needed as enrollment at Saint Margaret of Scotland continues to rise.
The goal is to complete the project in the fall of 2016.
