Casino Revenues Down, But How Low Can They Go?

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – KMOX recently reported that casino revenues are down, but how low can they go? For the past year or so, the area’s newest casino – River City in Lemay – has posted increases and kept the overall decline seem better. But even River City was down 2.3% last month compared to a year ago. Overall, casino revenues were down 9%.

Taking a closer look at the numbers from the Missouri Gaming Commission, it appears the biggest loser last month was the Argosy in Alton, down more than 18%. Hollywood Casino was down 13%; Lumiere Place down 12%; Ameristar down 8% and the Casino Queen was down 7%.
