EARTH CITY, Mo. (KMOX)- The St. Louis Sports Hall of Fame paid tribute to some University of Missouri legends and current Mizzou staffers on Saturday night at Rams Park in Earth City.

At an event called “Mizzou in Saint Lou” several awards were handed out.

Retired Missouri Tigers basketball coach Norm Stewart was inducted into the Hall of Fame, as were Tiger football standouts John Kadlec and Johnny Roland.

Current Mizzou football coach Gary Pinkel won the Hall’s 2013 Sportsman of the Year prize.

The school’s current athletic director Mike Alden was named the August Busch Jr. Award winner.

The 1981-82 Big Eight title-winning Tiger basketball team and the 2013 Cotton Bowl winning Mizzou football teams were both presented the Hall’s Champions Award.
