Jets Sign Daryl Richardson

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP)- The New York Jets claimed running back Daryl Richardson off waivers from the St. Louis Rams, who released him Thursday.

Richardson joins a suddenly crowded running backs room with the Jets, who already have Chris Johnson, Chris Ivory, Bilal Powell, Mike Goodson and Alex Green. Richardson was a seventh-round pick in 2012, and entered training camp last season as the starter but dealt with foot injuries and was surpassed by rookie Zac Stacy.
