Brad Paisley Takes Selfie With Westboro Baptist Church Members Protesting His Show
BONNER SPRINGS, KS (CBS St. Louis) – Brad Paisley tried to reverse the Westboro Baptist Church plans over the weekend.
The group, which is based in Kansas, was protesting outside Paisley’s concert over the weekend when the country music star took a selfie of himself in front of the protesters and posted it on Twitter.
“Hopefully they can hear the show out here,” he wrote in his tweet. “We’ll play loud.” He then called the people from the church “west-Burro (a**).

Some protesters held signs which read “God hates drunks.” The protesters seemed to be all smile when Paisley took the picture.
Supporters of the church group have protested other acts that played in the area.
Vince Gill had a confrontation with protesters and that quickly received over 850,000 hits on YouTube.
The Southern Poverty Law Center calls the Westboro Baptist Church “arguably the most obnoxious and rabid hate group in America.”
The Anti-Defamation League shares similar thoughts concerning the group.
Paisley performed at the Cricket Wireless Amphitheater in Bonner Springs Sunday night.
