UPDATE: Fox School Superintendent Retiring Under Fire

ARNOLD, Mo. (AP) — The superintendent of the Fox School District will retire Oct. 31, and get a payout of $130,299, amid cyber-bullying allegations.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/TP1E8M ) reports that Dianne Critchlow’s retirement was announced Thursday. Meanwhile, it was also announced that her husband, Jamie Critchlow, was fired. He was director of an alternative school.

Interim Superintendent Tim Crutchley says Critchlow will not return to work before her retirement date.

The Critchlows and two other administrators were put on paid leave last week during an investigation into comments posted on a Topix website last year that accused three critics of the district of depravity and criminal acts. A lawyer for the district critics says the comments were traced to computers registered to the Critchlows and others.
