(KMOX) – There were 2 drownings on Missouri Lakes on the 4th of July.
The first occurred around 10:00 a.m. on Friday at Table Rock Lake. The Missouri Highway Patrol reports 18 year old Joshua Washington of Republic Missouri was attempting to assist others in the water when he went under and did not resurface. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Then around 4:30 p.m., a 30 year old man from Englewood, Colorado fell off the back of a boat anchored at the Grand Glaize arm of the Lake of the Ozarks. He was submerged for about 5 minutes before others realized he was missing.
