ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – A south St. Louis shop owner has been murdered.

It happened around 3:30 p.m. Sunday in a small grocery store in the 3400 block of Chippewa.

The name of the owner is not yet known, but police say a witness saw a gunman leave the shop, and then return.

He’s been arrested, but police aren’t saying if he was an employee of the shop.

The shop owner, a man believed to be in his 30s, was shot in the head and pronounced dead at the scene.
