ST. LOUIS (CBS St. Louis) – The St. Louis county government websites are currently down, but the cause is unknown.

The websites for the St. Louis County Police Department, St. Louis County Department of Revenue, and St. Louis County Parks & Recreation are all down.

The St. Louis County dispatch is aware that the websites are down and explained that they are not sure of the cause, KSDK reported.

The hacking group Anonymous allegedly took down the City of Ferguson’s Internet and phone capabilities earlier this week. The group also tweeted Thursday morning the name of the alleged officer they say fatally shot 18-year-old Michael Brown.

It’s not clear if this incident is related to the unrest that is happening in Ferguson. Brown, who was unarmed, was shot and killed by a Ferguson police department officer Saturday, which has sparked citywide protests.
