Body Found Near Mississippi River at St. Louis

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – St. Louis city police say their homicide unit has been called out to investigate the discovery of a body along the Mississippi River.

The St. Louis Fire Department’s marine unit task force was deployed Sunday morning in an area north of downtown (1st and O’Fallon) for a report of a body in the river.

They found the remains on the bank, so the case was turned over to police and the medical examiner to investigate what happened.

Police say the body is that of a white male, but have no other details to report.
