ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Major changes may be coming to Kiener Plaza in downtown St. Louis. The St. Louis Post Dispatch reports CityArchRiver plans to begin work on the project next year. The ampitheater would be eliminated and replaced with a lawn, gardens and playgrounds. The cost would run 18 to 22 million dollars. Funding would come from the Arch grounds sales tax passed last year and private donations. A public meeting on the plan is set for four to seven p-m Monday at the first-floor Ballpark Conference Room in the downtown Hilton on South Broadway.
