Mo. Senator: ‘There’s No Need To Be Regulating Backyard Barbecues’

Bill Reker

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – If an EPA study results in regulating propane barbecue grills, one Missouri senator says it could be a real battle.

Sen. Eric Schmitt, R-St. Louis County, calls the study on propane grill emissions ridiculous and a waste of taxpayer money.

And from what he’s seen of initial proposals, your simple barbecue grill could become a monstrosity.

“In the study was a ‘secondary air filtration system composed of a single-pipe duct system that contains a specialized metal filter and metal fan blade … ‘ he says.

Schmitt has spear-headed a national campaign calling on Americans to get out and grill as a sign of peaceful protest.

The hashtag is #PorkSteakRebellion.
