Cleaning up the Community – Ferguson, MO

FERGUSON, MO – Yesterday hundreds volunteers showed up to help clean up Ferguson on West Florissant. This comes just about two weeks before the one year anniversary of Michael Brown’s death. Mayor’s from surrounding communities came to support the clean up efforts. Charlie Brennan of KMOX did a live broadcast and spoke with St. Louis Cardinals great Curt Ford and St. Louis Rams Pastor Aeneas Williams along with local and state officials. Captain Ron Johnson whom assumed command over the police forces during the riots of last Summer spoke about the issues in the community and the future of Ferguson. Lots of local business donated food and supplies for the volunteers. The Pasta House, The White Barn and Old Town Donuts just to name a few. I would say that the clean up and the event was a great success, and really highlights the community and the people the live in it.
