ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – The Holiday Express drew quite a crowd when it last stopped in St. Louis two years ago.
Kansas City Southern Railway says the six-car train will be back at Union Station from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday.
There’s no charge to see the likes of Rudy the smiling tank car, the gingerbread boxcar, and all the rest.
KCS says guests can walk through three of the cars, see Santa Claus, and get a treat bag for the kids.
The specially-designed train has been spreading holiday joy since 2001, and it has a charitable component to it, too. KCS employees donate money so that gift cards can be given to local Salvation Army units along the route to buy warm clothes and other items for children in need.
