EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. (KMOX) – A Madison County jury took just over three hours of deliberation, Friday, to find a Granite City woman guilty of first-degree murder.

Prosecutors say 20-year-old Breanna Maldonado stabbed a Collinsville woman in the parking lot of gas station in October 2013.

They say the act of violence was related to gang activity.

Maldonado faces from 20 to 60 years in prison when sentenced, later this year.
