The St. Louis Blues pummeled the Dallas Stars in more ways than one en route to a 6-1 victory in Game 3 of the Western Conference semi-finals. Following a three-goal onslaught by the Blues in the second period, Stars forward Curtis McKenzie decided to try and light a fire under his team for the next game by challenging Ryan Reaves to a fight. It didn’t go well for McKenzie.

Because the fight took place with little more than three minutes left in the contest, Reaves and McKenzie were sent to their respective dressing rooms. On his way, Reaves showed the Stars bench a little bit of love.

Reaves’ teammate Kevin Shattenkirk found the gesture to be particularly amusing and explained what happened to Jaden Schwartz who apparently missed Reaves’ gesture.

Not to be outdone, the arena crew picked out the perfect song to follow up Reaves’ performance.

In summary, the Blues won 6-1, take a 2-1 lead in the series and also took the win on social media for the night. Game 4 will be Thursday night at the Scottrade Center.
