ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – St. Louis police are releasing surveillance footage of a woman wanted in connection with a violent store theft earlier this month.

It happened Aug. 5 at the Hair City salon, 5837 Delmar, when a woman approached the counter with four packs of artificial hair.

She asked an employee to get another item off the wall behind him, and when he turned his back the woman ran out of the store without paying for the extensions.

Another store worker, a 43-year-old woman, saw what was happening and ran outside to try and stop the thief from getting away.

As she reached into the suspect’s car, the driver slammed the vehicle into reverse knocking the worker to the ground.

She struck the worker again while making her getaway.
