Football Player Saves Couple from Burning Car

FULTON, Mo. (KMOX) – A local football player saved a couple from a burning car over the weekend.

While driving home from church Sunday in Fulton, Jacob Ellis witnessed a car crash. KRCG reports one of the vehicles involved in the crash caught fire and an elderly couple was trapped inside.

Despite already having a broken hand, Ellis pulled the couple from their car to safety. Neither Ellis nor the elderly couple were injured.

Ellis plays football for Westminster College and broke his hand last week during practice.
