Former SLPS Principal Arrested

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) — A St. Louis Public Schools employee has been arrested.

The 34-year-old was taken into custody at the district’s central office on North 11th St. Thursday on suspicion of theft. The man is Cornelius Green, the former principal of Carr Lane Visual Performing Arts School.

Green found his pregnant girlfriend, Jocelyn Peters, a teacher, shot to death in her home on West Pine in the Central West End in March. Green’s childhood friend was arrested and charged with her murder.

St. Louis police say the arrest today was not made in connection to a homicide investigation — as of Thursday afternoon, no charges have been filed.
