O’Fallon Woman Arrested In Murder Plot Released From Hospital

O’FALLON, Mo (KMOX) – The O’Fallon woman in the middle of a strange murder plot, is out of the hospital and in the St. Charles County jail.

Pamela Hupp was arrested this week on first-degree murder charges for the death of Louis Gumpenberger – the man she claimed attacked her. She was in the hospital, because she stabbed herself in the neck with an ink pen.

As it turns out, she lured him to her home to kill him.

Hupp was a central figure in the murder trial of Betsy Faria in 2011. According to police, she wanted to get some of the “heat taken off her.”

She is being held on a $2 million bond.
