HAZELWOOD, Mo. (KMOX) – A prayer vigil is planned Friday night for the Hazelwood police officer seriously hurt in a rollover crash late Thursday.
That vigil is at 7 p.m. at the police department.
The officer, Craig Tudor, 37, was responding to an emergency call when a driver turning left crashed into his vehicle at Dunn Road and Village Square.
The police vehicle rolled down an embankment and overturned, and he had to be cut out of his cruiser and airlifted to the hospital.
Tudor suffered serious injuries and is in critical condition.
Det. Sgt. Patrick Schierbecker says the driver of that second car refused medical treatment and is cooperating with the investigation.
Tudor is an 11-year veteran of the Hazelwood Police Department.
