The most popular presentation was “The Wizard of Oz” followed by “Mama Mia,” “Fiddler on the Roof,” “The Music Man,” “42nd Street,” “Young Frankenstein” and “Aida.” There were a total of 3 rainouts, 1 for “Young Frankenstein” and 2 for “Aida.” Over the years, The Muny averages about 1 rainout per season.

Total attendance for all 50 shows was 354,710.

What can Muny audiences expect in 2017? Look for at least two Muny premieres, some very popular vintage shows and one show that for many Muny patrons will be a very pleasant, if unexpected, surprise. Also, some of the shows will have more than 7 performances.

The 2017 season will be announced in November, if not sooner.
