Kidnapped Mo. Child Found Safe in North Carolina

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (KMOX/AP)- A child abducted three years ago from his Springfield, Missouri home has been found safe in North Carolina.

The Cumberland County sheriff’s office tells KMOX the father of five-year-old Beck Hotsenpiller was arrested, Saturday, on a Missouri kidnapping warrant.

Deputies say the U.S. Marshal’s Service received a tip that 24-year-old Corey Hotsenpiller was living in a Fayetteville, North Carolina home with the child.

The elder Hotsenpiller’s now being held without bond, pending extradition.

North Carolina’s Department of Social Services will be caring for Beck until his legal guardian takes custody.
