DU QUOIN, Il. (KMOX) – The Du Quoin State Fair continues in southern Illinois with daily attractions and, hopefully, no rain.
State fair director Kevin Gordon says he doesn’t want a repeat in Du Quoin of what fairgoers recently endured in Springfield.
Earlier this month, the Illinois State Fair saw six rainy days during their run and were forced to cancel events because of flooding. Some vendors cited profits plummeting 60 percent thanks to the weather.
The Du Quoin State Fair runs until Labor Day with daily attractions. Today is “Agriculture Youth Day” and tonight’s grandstand entertainment starts at 7:30 p.m., featuring Sebastian Bach from Skid Row and Tom Keifer from Cinderella.
