ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – A St. Louis judge orders a special election in a Missouri State House race after a voter fraud trial.
Judge Rex Burlison rules that mistakes were made in the way the St. Louis Election Board handled the absentee ballots in the August primary won by incumbent State Rep. Penny Hubbard.
The order stops short of faulting Hubbard for any wrongdoing.
Challenger Bruce Franks Jr. will get a second chance to try to defeat Hubbard during a special election set for Sept. 16.
