ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Don’t expect quick action from the Missouri Legislature to address the Real ID issue.
State Rep. Shamed Dogan of Ballwin says no one’s talking about it, and he thinks the earliest they could act is when they convene in January.

Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon could call a special session, but Dogan doesn’t think that’s likely.
The closest lawmakers came this past session was a measure to allow residents to choose whether they wanted a Real ID compliant driver’s license — it didn’t go anywhere.
Lawmakers, also, would have to undo a 2009 law prohibiting Missouri from compliance with federal rules.
