INDEPENDENCE, Mo. (KMOX) – (UPDATED 3:43 p.m.) An Amber Alert issued for a missing 9-month-old boy from Independence has been cancelled.
The boy has been found and is safe, according to Independence police.
He was located with family members in Kansas City, Missouri.

The Independence Police Department has issued an Amber Alert for a child abduction that happened at 10:45 a.m. today at 17007 E. US 24 Hwy No. 7 in Independence.
The abducted child is Syncere Lee Valliant. She is a black male, 9-months-old.
The suspect is a Robert T. Valliant. He is a black male, 31-years-old, 6’1” tall, 170 lbs.
The suspect’s vehicle is a black, spray painted over red, 2003 Pontiac Grand Am with Missouri license plate No. DL3V3F. It was last seen at the above address and left in an unknown direction.
The suspect is believed to be armed with a firearm.
