Laclede Cab Driver Found Fatally Shot in CWE

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – St. Louis police are investigating the murder of a cab driver in the Central West End.

Police say the victim was found behind the wheel, shot in the head, inside his Laclede Cab vehicle parked in the 4900 block of Laclede.

The victim is identified as 38-year-old Timothy Grice, of South Grand.

Police first arrived on the scene around 10 o’clock Wednesday morning, but it’s believed the car had been parked there for some time.

Laclede Cab released a statement that reads in part:

“We have been informed by the police that a Laclede driver was the victim of a homicide during an apparent attempted robbery while parked at North Kingshighway and Laclede Avenue.”

Police say they have no information on a suspect or motive.
