Severe Weather Spawns Tornado Warnings in Metro East

ST. LOUIS (KMOX)(UPDATED 5:11 p.m.) The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Warning for Randolph County in IL until 5:45 p.m.

Scattered rain and thunderstorms are forecast to continue tonight and into early Saturday morning – clearing up into a cloudy Saturday afternoon.

Storms with “heavy rain and frequent lightning” are possible this evening.

There is a chance for a few light showers under cloudy skies Saturday afternoon.

Expect plenty of sunshine Sunday, with a high of 83 and low of 64.

The National Weather Service has recently issued a Tornado Warning for Randolph County in Illinois and Ste. Genevieve County in Missouri until 4 p.m.

In addition, a severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for St. Clair, Monroe and Randolph counties in Illinois until 4 p.m.
