O’FALLON, Mo. (KMOX)- O’Fallon police say a Saturday night standoff ended with a suspect surrendering, and no injuries were reported.
They say a woman in the 700 block of Diamond Point Court called police and said her husband had threatened to harm her – to the point of firing shots from a handgun through her locked bedroom door.
Officers arrived and were able to get the woman out of the house with a ladder.
The St. Charles County SWAT team was then called in for negotiations.
Police say 54-year-old Douglas Tenbarge surrendered more than four hours after the initial 911 call.
He’s charged with first-degree domestic assault and armed criminal action.
A judge set Tenbarge’s bond at $100,000.
