Shiloh Man Charged for Robbing Gas Station, Twice

SHILOH, Ill. (KMOX) – A Metro East man has been convicted of robbing the same gas station – twice.

A federal jury in Benton, Illinois handed down a guilty verdict against 21-year-old Michael Jackson III of Shiloh.

He was charged with walking into the Midwest Petroleum station in the 1500 block of Hartman Lane in December of 2011, armed with a knife.

He demanded money from the clerk and ran off.

Jackson robbed the same location in March of 2014. Although he was wearing a mask both times, investigators identified him by voice.

Clothing discarded by the robber was found to contain Jackson’s DNA.
