John O’Leary shares how some of the best lessons he’s learned in life were taught by his dad and how lately, his dad is teaching his finest lessons through silence.
As a kid, John was certain his dad could do anything. His earliest memories are of his dad kissing his mom goodbye after breakfast then shuttling John and his five siblings off to school. He worked a full day and was home in time for dinner with the family.
John explains that although his father spoke to each of his children every day, he really didn’t have to say a word because his love was ever-present.
Today as his father deals with Parkinson’s Disease, John is learning that being quiet allows you to listen more clearly.
