Greitens Responds to Attack Ads on Charity Salary

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – A Navy SEAL running for Missouri Governor, Republican Eric Greitens, is taking heat from his opponent’s attack ads – over the money Greitens was paid to run a charity for veterans.

Greitens is under fire for earning about $100,000 a year.

“What’s very clear are the results that we’ve seen from The Mission Continues,” Greitens says. “It is one of the nations leading organizations to help veterans come home and my average salary was about $90,000 to $100,000.”

Greitens says that salary was approved by The Mission Continues board.

He also says it’s hypocritical for Democrat Chris Koster to put out the ads, when he was caught taking campaign money from firms he was investigating as Missouri Attorney General.
