Sex Offender Caught Umpiring Youth Sports Games

SWANSEA, Il. (KMOX) – Swansea police say a sex offender was umpiring kids basketball and baseball games for at least a year.

According to the Belleville News-Democrat, 51-year-old Dennis Cotton was arrested Tuesday. He did not disclose he was working for the Smithton School District on his sex offender registry.

He’s on the registry because of a November 2003 Arizona conviction involving a 15-year-old girl.
