ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – “Gilmore Girls” fans, rejoice – Luke’s Diner is coming to a coffee shop near you.
According to a USA Today report, the show is celebrating its 16th anniversary as well as its return to Netflix in November with more than 200 pop-up coffee shops around the country.
The shops are based off Luke’s Diner, a favorite eatery among the show’s residents. “Each temporary Luke’s will include décor from the show, such as Luke’s signs, Luke’s aprons, Luke’s backwards caps and Luke’s coffee cups” says the report. There will also be free coffee and other surprises for patrons.
Three local coffee shops will be participating in the one-day event tomorrow: Coffee Cartel and Shameless Grounds in St. Louis, as well as Coma Coffee Roasters in Brentwood.
The “Gilmore Girls” website is under construction until Wednesday, but directions to all the participating coffee shops are available there.
