ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – If you are 65 or older and enrolled in Medicare Part C or D, you will soon have some important decisions to make.
Julie Brookhart with the Kansas City Regional Office of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services says Medicare open enrollments happens the same time ever year, but it’s important to look over all available options to potentially find a better deal.
“This is the time period where you can make changes to your current plan, if you want to… it’s a great time to do a comparison because things do change.”
Medicare open enrollment runs from Oct. 15 to Dec. 7.
Brookhart says if someone needs help wading through all the different Medicare options, they can make make an appointment at their local State Health Insurance Assistance Program office, call 1-800-MEDICARE or go online to Medicare.gov.
