McCulloch Speaks on Missouri Gun Legislation

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – The amount of guns on the street have increased these days – and it’s so much easier to get them.

St. Louis County Prosecutor Bob McCulloch tells KMOX’s Charlie Brennan that his problem is not with weapons.

“People certainly have the Second Amendment right to own weapons,” McCulloch says. “It’s just that there has to be some sensible legislation out there and that’s pretty much what we are lacking in Missouri.”

He says one of the issues we have is gun laws change every legislative session. He adds in a situation if someone is caught in a car with a gun, there’s not a whole lot police can do.

Currently in Missouri, if you have no prior convictions, are over 18 and in your own vehicle – you can have a gun.
