Lawyers Want to Settle in July Involuntary Manslaughter Case

ST. CHARLES (KMOX) – It appears lawyers for a St. Charles man charged with involuntary manslaughter and DWI in a drag racing case want to settle.

A settlement conference is set this morning for Haven Sooter who, along with Scott Bailey, allegedly raced down a portion of Lindbergh in Frontenac at speeds exceeding 100 miles an hour. Sooter’s BMW rear ended Kathleen Koutroubis’s vehicle near Chaminade College Preparatory School on July 8 last year. She later died from internal injuries.
