ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – A man responsible for a hit-and-run in North St. Louis this morning is still on the loose.

Police say they tried to pull him over for speeding on Natural Bridge shortly before 10 a.m. The man started to pull over, but then ran the red light at Shreve and hit another car.

The suspect got out and ran, and police found marijuana, a gun and a lot of cash in his car.

The other driver was ejected from the car and taken to the hospital in critical condition.
