Blues Select Robert Thomas 20th in Draft

CHICAGO (KMOX) – The Blues opted for a 17-year-old play-making center with their first pick of the 2017 NHL Draft on Friday night.

Robert Thomas logged 50 assists and 16 goals with the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League last season, his second with that club.

The 6’0″ 188-pound Aurora, Ontario native is a friend of St. Louis native Matthew Tkachuk, who debuted with the Calgary Flames last season. Thomas and Tkachuk lived and trained with former NHL forward Gary Roberts, last summer.
